Stefan Elbe Professor of International Relations and Director of the Centre for Global Health Policy at the University of Sussex. He joined the Department in 2004 after holding previous positions at the London School of Economics, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the University of Warwick, and the University of Essex. He has served as Head of the International Relations Department and as Director of Research for the School of Global Studies. Professor Elbe is currently the Principal Investigator on a five-yar €1.2 million grant from the European Research Council (2013-2018). He has also served as an expert advisor to the Medical Research Council (MRC), the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), and the Wellcome Trust. He is a member of the ESRC Peer Review College.
